1973年，英格丽·褒曼担任第26届戛纳国际电影节评审团主席 。
英格丽·褒曼在1973年11月被确诊为乳腺癌，与疾病顽强搏斗近10年后，1982年8月29日，英格丽·褒曼病逝于英国伦敦。
